No time for exercise?

‘Too busy’ is a common reason that many people give to not be able to exercise. I’ve recently come across an interesting study in J Sci Med Sport. 2014 Feb 6. which showed that when people were given set exercise to complete they ended up making it happen by exchanging time that they would have otherwise spent on other activities for exercise. In this study, it was noted that exercise groups spent significantly less time watching television compared with their television time prior to the study! So if you find yourself using ‘too busy’ as a reason to miss your exercise session, have a quick review of your week and see where your time really goes…maybe its time to switch off the box and go for that walk!
